Construction is scheduled to begin in early August on an upgrade to MIT’s CUP, a project that will help MIT lower emissions, improve campus resiliency and sustainability, and create a more flexible power system for incorporating future innovations.

MassDEP has determined that the CUP upgrade project complies with state and federal air quality regulations and state noise policy and has issued draft permit documents for public comment.
